Training objectives: The Advanced Open Water Diver becomes more elaborate in theory and practise in order to give a more complete (intense) experience in diving and to increase the level of safety. Prerequisites: Minimum of 14 years of age (completed), mental and physical fitness, written consent of legal guardians of minors, good swimming ability, medical health certificate for diving purposes (not older than a year) Information for students prior to the training: Request certification of the respective level of training, Theoretical training: Minimum of 4 6 lessons: Completion of the special certificates Final written exam Practical training: Navigation with compass:
Night diving:
One liscence (certificate) free of choices Special instructions for sress situations in diving (prevention/precaution/reasons) The training includes more complex equipment, for e.g 2 independant regulators, dive light ( used for signals as well), underwater writing devices, compass and correct handling of the equipment. The student’s safety is a priority, therefore the training procedure is simply a recommendation which must modified according to the local circumstances. At the end of the training a final meeting is held and the students should be informed about further levels of diving that can be achieved within the IDIC. |
