Training objectives:

The purpose of the Dive Supervisor training is to intensify the diver’s ability of group leadership.
The students receive comprehensive instruction concerning the Assistant instructor training which provides an deal preparation for Instructors-to-be.

Prerequisites:

Minimum of 17 years of age (completed), mental and physical fitness, written consent from legal guardians for minors, good swimming ability, medical certificate (not older than a year).

Information for the students prior to their training:

Requests for certificates of respecive levels of training reached,
Introduction to the IDIC diving corporation certification system,
Further opportunities and costs to be expected.

Summary of the training:

Theory: minimum of 30 hours
Recommended literature: specified books of Holzapfel, Dr. Ehm, etc.
Practical training: 6 dives

During this training main emphasis is to be put on professional planning and performing of dives, as well as group leadership. The Dive Supervisor has full responsibility for lower-graded diving partners. He must have attained the regular certification of for e.g night diving, (diving with limited vision, orientation diving, diving safety and rescue diving, deep diving, HLW technology, etc.). His personal appearance must reflect the image of a diving instructor.
This position requires a mature person with a high degree of competance and responsibility.

This training is to be performed with 2 independant regulators. The student’s security must always come first. Therefore the training procedure is simply a recommendation which must be modified according to local circumstances.
